No fruit smoothie

Kelvaraghu (Ragi/Finger Millet) Kali and Yogurt

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup Kelvaraghu Kali
  • 1 cup Yogurt

Instructions:

Dissolve 1 cup Ragi flour in 1 cup water and keep it aside.
Bring half cup water to boil and slowly pour the Ragi solution into boiling water while continue mixing until it comes out like ball (similar to cooking "upma")

Now take vessel keep it inside a pressure cooker (make sure you have water in the pressure cooker) cook until you get three whistles. This process steams ragi upma into kali.

Tips: Cook Kali for dinner. It goes very well with Tomato kadayal (Tomato, Onion, Garlic, Green Chili).  Store the excessive Kali in water overnight and use this for Ragi Smoothie.

Blend the 1 cup Kali and 1 cup yogurt.
